Free anemone!

On Saturday Nov. 10, I stopped at the new fish store the Reef. I was there a little bit before they opened' but John the owner opened a little early and let me in. He announced that I was the early bird winner, and he proceeded to bag up this big beautiful white anemone with purple and yellow highlights.

I felt so awkward I bought another frag and some filter bags. After putting the anemone in the tank, I am super excited, it looks really cool. I would post a picture, but my camera on my phone is not working.

Carving Santa's

I recently had a chance to take a carving class where the focus of the class was to carve a small Santa figurine. It was a very enjoyable class, and I learned a great deal regarding the technique's to accomplish the end results. Here are some pictures of some carvings completed after the class.

The hat finished, and the face roughed in:

Here is a similar carving completed at home after the class:

And a couple pictures of the two faces of this double faced Santa:

Found some old sign pictures

I was updating the pictures on our computer and found some pictures of some Signs I had carved back in 2003, one for a gift, and one for I do not know what. I think it might have been given away, but Rob thinks I have it somewhere, but have just forgotten it.

Here they are:
